Description of key information

The 72-hour EL50 value was >180 mg/L and NOEL value was 80 mg/l (nominal loading rate WAF).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A 72-hour EL50 value of >180 mg/L and NOEL value of 80 mg/l (nominal loading rate WAF) have been reported for the effects of the test substance on growth rate of the freshwater algaeDesmodesmus subspicatusin accordance with OECD Test Guideline 201 (Alga, Growth Inhibition Test).

On request, the results have also been recalculated in terms of geometric mean measured concentrations. However, these are not representative of the substance as a whole. The 72-hour EC50value is >34 mg/L and the NOEC value is 18 mg/L based on geometric mean measured concentrations. A summary of the method for calculation of the results in terms of geometric mean measured concentrations is attached to the study report endpoint summary (2259-0059 GMM Results Summary ALGAE).
