Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The influence of the test material on the growth of the green algal species Pseudokircheriella subcapitata, was investigated in a 72 hour static test according to the OECD Guideline No. 201. The nominal test concentrations were 0.063, 0.13, 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 mg/l in parallel with a control. Geometric mean measured concentrations ranged from 48 to 76% of nominal concentrations and defined the treatment levels tested as 0.043, 0.093, 0.19, 0.24 and 0.56 mg/L. The algal population grew well, resulting in an average of 595000 cells/mL in the control after 72 hours. No effects on algal health were noted during the test. Exposure of algae to the test material for 72 hours resulted in a median effective concentration EyC50 of >0.56 mg/l when determined using the number of cells/mL, and >0.56 mg/L when determined using the average specific growth rate. A NOEC value for growth rate and cell number was determined to be 0.56 mg/l.
