Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater plants:
1 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater plants:
1 mg/L

Additional information

The influence of amoxicillin on the growth of a freshwater plant was studied by Brain et al. (2008) according to the ASTM guideline. Lemna gibba was exposed up to 1000 μg/L test item in triplicate for 7 days under static-renewal conditions. The 7 days-EC50/EC10 was determined to be higher than 1000 μg mg/L based on frond number, wet weight, chlorophylls a and b, and carotenoids.
