Propylidynetrimethanol, ethoxylated, propoxylated esters with acrylic acid, reaction products with 1 -Butanamine, N-butyl- is a slightly yellow liquid with a molecular weight of 270 - 1460 g/mol, depending on the degree of ethoxylation and propoxylation, and a vapour pressure of 2,3 hPa at 20 °C. In agreement with its logPow of 4.2 and a water solubility of 0.9 g/l.

The molecular weight favours absorption after oral exposure, but might limit dermal or inhalation uptake. But since sensitization was observed in a structurally related substance (Propylidynetrimethanol, ethoxylated, esters with acrylicacid, reaction products with 1-butanamine, n-butyl (Cas: 195008-76-5) EO >1<6.5), and the molecular weight of the test substance will vary depending on ethoxylation and propoxylation dermal absorption cannot be excluded.Water solubility between 100-10,000mg/l and a logPoW just above 4 will also rather favour oral and dermal uptake. In addition, due to the moderate vapour pressure, uptake via inhalation is also expected. In an acute dermal and oral toxicity study, no signs of systemic toxicity were observed, either because of limited uptake or the relative non-toxicity of the test substance, as was also observed for the structurally related compound.

Though the logPoW value of 4.2 indicates the possibility for bioaccumulation, calculations with several accepted tools, i.e.,CATALOGIC v.5.11.2, T.E.S.T., provided by the US EPA and BCFBAF v.3.01 of EPISuite v4.10 have shown, that no bioaccumulation is expected.
