Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

BIODEGRADATION

Screening test

The registration substance is readily biodegradable (OECD 301B, CO2 Evolution Test, see IUCLID Chapter 5.2.1.

Simulation tests

Sewage Treatment Plant, Surface water, Sediment

The registration substance is readily biodegradable (OECD 301B, see IUCLID Chapter 5.2.1). Due to the Log Kow of 2.55 (see IUCLID Chapter 4.7) sorption to solid phases like sewage sludge, sediment and soil are low. The target compartment is surface water but not sediment or soil (via sewage sludge). Based on these facts no simuation tests for Sewage Treatment (OECD 303A) nor Surface water (OECD 309) nor Sediment (OECD 308) is warranted (see REACH Regulation 2006/1907, Annex IX, Column 2, 9.2.1.2).

Soil Biodegradation

The registration substance is readily biodegradable (OECD 301B, see IUCLID Chapter 5.2.1). Due to the Log Kow of 2.55 (see IUCLID Chapter 4.7) sorption to solid phases like sewage sludge, sediment and soil are low. The target compartment is surface water but not sediment or soil (via sewage sludge). Based on these facts no simuation test for soil biodegradation (OECD 307) is warranted (see REACH Regulation 2006/1907, Annex IX, Column 2, 9.2.1.2).
