Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In CECA’ study, juvenile D. rerio were exposed to N-[2-(piperazin-1-yl) ethyl]C18-insaturated-alkylamide at nominal concentrations of 0.06 to 1.5 mg/L (forming a geometric progression with a factor of 1.9) under semi-static conditions in a 96 -hour acute toxicity test. The 96-hour LC50 of N-[2-(piperazin-1-yl) ethyl]C18-insaturated-alkylamide t oD. rerio under semi-static conditions was 0.33 mg/L (median lethal concentration).

In AkzoNobel’ study, juvenile D. rerio were exposed to N-[2-(piperazin-1-yl) ethyl]C18-insaturated-alkylamide at nominal concentrations of 0.18, 0.32, 0.56, 1.0 and 1.8 mg/L under semi-static conditions in a 96 -hour acute toxicity test. One control group was included in the test. Seven fish were used per test concentration and control. No chemical analysis of the test substance dispersed in the test media were performed, therefore only nominal concentrations are included in the report.

The highest concentration causing no mortality (NOEC) after 96 hours amounted to 0.32 mg/L. 100% mortality was produced at 0.56 mg/L after 94 hours, at 1.0 mg/L after 26 hours and at 1.8 mg/L after 4 hours. Furthermore, at the concentrations of 0.56 mg/L and 1.0 mg/L the fish showed reduced activity from 4 hours after initiation of the test until they died. The LC50 (96h) was calculated to be 0.43 mg/L with 95% confidence limits of 0.35 and 0.53 mg/L.
