Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No studies investigating the adsorption/desorption behaviour of Fatty acids, lanolin, isopropyl esters (CAS 63393-93-1) are currently available. Using KOCWIN Program (v2.00), log Koc values of 3.0 - 7.9 were calculated for the different constituents, based on the molecular connectivity index (MCI).This model has no universally accepted definition of model domain, but since the larger constituents are outside the Kow range of the training set, the results should be taken with caution. However, the values for the smaller constituents, which are within the training set, are fully reliable, and the log Koc increases with the length of the fatty acid, as would be expected, based on increasing log Kow.Based on this information, it can be assumed that the adsorption potential of the Fatty acids, lanolin, isopropyl esters is high.
