Description of key information

The substance is not readily biodegradable. After 28 days 67 % of the test substance had been degraded in a manometric respiratory test ( EU Method C.4-D), but failing the 10-day window (CURRENTA, 2009)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A test on ready biodegradability, conducted according to the EU-method C.4 -D, showed that 67 % of the substance was degraded within 28 days, but failing the 10-day window. Due to the stringent test conditions in a test on ready biodegradability, the substance has failed this test and the substance is considered as “Not Ready Biodegradable”, although the pass level of 60 % was reached in the test (Currenta, 2009).
