In a dermal test on guinea pigs, 1 drop of the neat substance (probably of the molten substance) caused massive reddening and moderate formation of edema within 24 hours which persisted for a further 24 hours. The reddening was still moderately pronounced following 1 week, the edema were diminished. After 2 weeks there was only still slight reddening but complete hair loss.

In experiments on further guinea pigs, a few drops (probably of the molten mass) caused death after less than 24 hours (LD50 value smaller than 0.1 ml/kg bw). In general, the substance was described as moderately through to severely irritating to the skin and absorbable through the skin.
