First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes thoroughly for at least 15 minutes with clean
water. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing (launder before re-use). Rinse
affected area thoroughly for at least 15 minutes. If
irritation persists seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water fog or foam may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon together
with some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Material
(liquid or solid) is readily dispersible in water which may
result in an effluent discharge with elevated colour and
suspended solids. Prevent material from entering sewers or
other waterways. Absorb spillages of dispersions with a
suitable inert material (eg. sand or soil). Carefully
transfer the spillage to suitably labelled waste containers,
or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine. Clean the
spillage area with water and detergent.

Dispose of waste material by incineration in accordance with
local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Prevent exposure to high temperature and flames. Prevent
exposure to strong oxidizers and reducing agents. Keep
container tightly sealed to prevent moisture/vapor exchange.
The substance should be stored, handled and used in
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure by
ingestion and skin contact.

Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
substance.

When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled,
appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.
Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate
international or national standards ie. chemical protective
gloves (Standard prEN374), chemical resistant clothing
(Standard EN368), and eye protection (Standard prEN166).

When necessary, appropriate respiratory protection should be
used.

Storage: Store in tightly sealed containers in a dry well-ventilated
area.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 5-50 ml plastic inkjet printer ink cartridge, packaged in
cardboard.

0.5 litre, 1 litre plastic bottles, 10 litre plastic
containers, or 5, 15 or 55 gallon high density polypropylene
containers.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed in
accordance with local regulations. When selecting a
disposal alternative, landfill is not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration in
accordance with local regulations. Waste gas treatment to
remove oxides of nitrogen should be fitted.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain in the form
of articles that can be disposed of in accordance with
applicable regulations.
