First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air.  If respiratory symptoms appear, seek

medical attention.  If breathing irregular or stopped,

administer artificial respiration.  Give nothing by mouth.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with clean water for at least 10 minutes,

including under eyelids  Seek medical attention if symptoms

persist.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing.  Wash skin thoroughly with

soap and water (or proprietary skin cleanser).  Flush with

lukewarm water for 15 minutes.  Do not use solvents or

thinners.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, alcohol resistance foam.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon.

Protective equipment: Full protection by suitable clothing and positive pressure

breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (See 2.3.1). Collect on

absorbent material and transfer to suitable containers for

disposal by incineration.  Wash down contaminated areas with

plenty of water, using containment to avoid washings

reaching drains or surface water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Protective clothing, eye protection and gloves should be

worn when working with the material.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area in a tightly

closed container.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 200 litre steel drums and 20 litre metal cans (UN approved

types).
