An endothermic heat effect was observed at 174.9 °C. After the experiment, the sample had lost about 41 % of its mass and the color of the sample was black and carbonized.

ln order to determine the heat effect more precisely, further DSC-runs were recorded between 130 °C and 195 °C with a heating rate of 5 K/min. ln the first main test run, the melting of RED 0106-PP1 was determined at 173.9 °C. The melting of the test item during the second main test run was determined to be at 174.6 °C. During these runs, the samples lost about 2 % and 4 % of their mass, respectively. After the measurement both samples were black and melted.
