Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with copious amounts of water under open eyelid for
several minutes. Seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected areas with copious amounts of water. Seek
medical attention. Take off contaminated clothing
immediately.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Afterwards drink plenty amounts of
water. Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry powder, foam or water jet.
Adjust extinguishing operations according to the
environment.
Product arising from burning: Kohlenmonoxid, Kohlendioxid, Stickstoffoxide
"ENGLISH"
Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Self-contained breathing apparatus
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Keep unprotected persons away.
Take up the spilt material mechanically by using an
approved industrial vacuum cleaner and bring it to the
disposal site in suitable receptacles which have to be
tightly closed and labelled according to TRGS 201.
While taking up the spillage and cleaning the polluted area
avoid skin and eye contact as well as inhalation of the
substance by wearing appropriate personal protective
equipment (see section "Handling").
Keep all ignition sources away and prevent dust formation.
Do not let the substance get into surface waters or the
canalisation.
Handling and storage
Handling: All working methods must always be designed so that exposure
by skin contact as well as inhalation of the substance is
minimized and eye contact is excluded.
Pregnant and breast-feeding women must not be exposed to the
substance.
Where possible, closed equipment has to be used during
filling, metered feeding, and sampling.
In the case of handling the substance in open systems,
extract any dust which forms directly at the point of
origin.
Personal protective equipment:
- protective gloves category III (EN 374), e.g.: Camatril,
Grün (Nitril), Art. No. 732, company: KCL
- full protective mask (EN 136) with ABEK-P3 filter (EN 141)
- disposal protective clothing
Conspicuously labelled eye-douche stations should be
provided in the immediate vicinity of the working area.
Wash hands for breaks and at work finish time.
Keep outdoor clothes separate from working clothes.
Keep away from heat and ignition sources. Static discharges
must be avoided. Avoid dust formation.
Storage: Use shatterproof containers which are labelled according to
the regulations and protected against falling.
Keep containers tightly closed.
Avoid substance residues on the outside of the containers.
Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuff.
Keep away from heat and direct exposure to the sun.
Recommended storage temperature: 5 °C.
Static discharges must be avoided.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: one-trip polyethylene double bag in fibre drums
content: 22.5 kg

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: No danger known.
Chemical reaction with water: CDT undergoes fast hydrolysis into Triazole when getting in
contact with water.
Dust explosion: Dust can form explosive mixtures with air.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not known
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Neutralisation and destruction via hydrolysis.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Controlled discharge in sewage treatment plant.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: No special requirements known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: No special requirements known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not known
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Inapplicable, since the substance (intermediate) is
converted completely during the production process.
