Fish

In a read across-acute aquatic toxicity test with 9 -octadecenoic acid sodium salt to fish the LC50 (96 h) was found to be greater than 100 mg/L

Daphnia

For daphnia, a read across study is available in which the EC50 was determined to be 24 mg/L. Additionally, results of a 21-day read across-study on daphnids are available. An EC50 value of 0.33 mg/L and a NOEC of 0.11 mg/L were determined in this study.

Algae

A 72 h algal growth inhibition test was conducted on the analogue substance 9-octadecenoic acid sodium salt to assess the toxicity to aquatic algae. As a result, the lowest EC50 value (determined by the AUG method) was found to be 63 mg/L and the NOEC was determined to be 20 mg/L. In another publication an EC50 (72 h) of 58 mg/L was reported.
