Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

D50 = 44.910 µm, ISO 13320:2009, CIPAC MT 187, Younis 2013

Additional information

The particle size distribution of the test material was investigated in a study which was conducted under GLP conditions. The particle size distribution of the test material was characterised first using a visual microscope and then using a Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyser. The methods followed guidelines stated in the test facility Standard Operating Procedures. The Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analysis was conducted in accordance with ISO 13320:2009 and CIPAC MT 187 and in consideration of OECD guideline 110.

The analysis was carried out using the 'wet', small volume dispersion system using acetone as dispersant. The D50 of the test material was determined to be 44.910 µm under the conditions of the study.

The GLP study was performed in compliance with agreed protocols with a sufficient level of detail, in the report, to assess the quality of the relevant results. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in line with the criteria of Klimisch (1997).

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, D50 of 44.910 µm, was taken forward for risk assessment.
