Description of key information

NORMALISED CORROSION TEST on Email

Additional information

METHOD USED The test is done under normalised conditions, based on the De Dietrich Standard Method. The email coupon, after the cleaning in accordance with De Dietrich cleaning processes (annexed), is placed in the mixture to study at immersed position & without stirring. The result is expressed as a function of the email weight loosed. And the attack rate of the email in (mm/year) & is given by: V = (0.146*Δm*10)/(t*π*L*D)

We obtain 2.36E-02 mm/year of the Corrosion index, this value is in accord with the De Dietrich Isocorrosion curves for alkalis. So the “Email DD 3009/De Dietrich” possesses therefore, in the analysed mixture a: GOOD RESISTANCE TO CORROSION
