Conclusions:
According to the reference, the density of 2-[difluoro(methoxy)methyl]-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane is 1.4965 g/cm3 at 296.15 K.
Executive summary:

The purpose of the study was to determine the Vapour pressure for several hydrofluoroethers and to derive the Antoine constants for each of them using the experimental data.

In order to describe the compounds, values of density were taken.

Density was measured using a calibrated pycnometer at the temperature of 296.15 K. The density values were reproducible within +- 0.0001 g/cm3.

The density of 2-[difluoro(methoxy)methyl]-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane is resulted to be 1.4965 g/cm3.

Description of key information

The density of 2-[difluoro(methoxy)methyl]-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane is 1.496 g/cm3 at 23°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:

Additional information

An experimental study focused on the determination of the Vapour Pressure for several hydrofluoroethers is report as Key Study.

Densities of the different compounds under study were determined in order to describe the substances. The measurements are well described and the method is scientifically valid. The density of 2-[difluoro(methoxy)methyl]-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane is resulted to be 1.4965 g/cm3 at the temperature of 296.15 K (23 °C). The value of density is reproducible within +- 0.0001 g/cm3.

As supporting study, a publication focused on the addition of several alcohols to Octafluoroisobutene is reported. The physical properties and analytical data of the various addition products are listed. 2-[difluoro(methoxy)methyl]-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane is the product of addition of Methanol to Octafluoroisobutene. A density of 1.4931 g/cm3 at the temperature of 25 °C is reported. No details on method is reported.

The two values are consistent.
