Experimental toxicokinetic studies are not available.

The Log Kow of 3.9 (< 4) is not suggestive of significant accumulation of unchanges substance in fatty tissues subsequent to absorption from gastro-intestinal tract of from lungs. However, in the short-term toxicity study, urine excretion has been observed (coloration of the urine day-1 post treatment). Therefore, to account for the uncertainties, a low potential for bioaccumulation is considered.

The assessment of toxicokinetics based on the physicochemical properties of the substance:

  • Molecular weight = 620
  • Water solubility = 75 mg/L
  • Partition coefficient log Kow = 3.9

And based on the available studies.

The physicochemical characteristics of the substance (log Kow 3.9 and water solubility of 75 mg/L) is in a range suggestive of absorption from the gastro-intestinal tract subsequent to oral ingestion. But this absorption can be limited due its molecular weight (> 500).

This is confirmed by the short toxicity where urine excretion, together with faecal excretion, was observed (coloration) D1 post-treatment, also indicating that the substance has been distributed. The degree of absorption cannot be estimated.

No change of coloration has been observed in organs. However, as the colour of the test item is range from yellow to orange, a weak coloration might be difficult to be noticed in dark organs.

The Log Kow and the molecular weight of the substance are in a range indicating low to moderate dermal absorption.
