Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A waiver is applied for this endpoint as the substance has low potential for adsorption to sediment and negiligible exposure potential.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There are no reliable toxicity data for sediment-dwelling organisms relating to HQEE. A waiver is applied for this endpoint as the substance has low potential for adsorption to sediment and negligible exposure potential.

In accordance with REACH Regulation 1907/2006, Annex X, Column 2, studies of the effects on sediment organisms need not be conducted if exposure assessment indicates no concern for exposure to that environmental compartments. It is proposed that testing is waived as exposure potential is negligible as substance is an intermediate product. There is negligible exposure to aqueous process streams during downstream use and hence also negligible emission to a sewage treatment plant. Additionally, the substance is not expected to adsorb to sediment or soil as the log kow is low (0.41). Therefore no further testing is needed.
