Additional information

The following physico-chemical properties of vanadium oxide sulphate were studied by appropriate testing:

(i) melting point,

(ii) density,

(iii) granulometry and dustiness testing,

(iv) water solubility testing according to OECD 105 and transformation/dissolution testing according to OECD 29 and

(v) oxidising properties

(vi) corrosive properties against metals

The results of the studies are reported in respective endpoint summaries and study records.

For several endpoints, the information requirements were waived due to the intrinsic properties of vanadium oxide sulphate based on the criteria as laid down in regulation (EC) 1907/2008 and ECHA guidance.

Other endpoints (i.e. flammability) were addressed with handbook data and long-term experience in handling. These handbook data are considered to be from a trusted source according to "ECHA, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance (December 2016)". Therefore, these data were considered reliable.
