Additional information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH, Annexes VIII the activated sludge respiration inhibition tests do not need to be conducted if the substance is highly insoluble in water. Thus no additional test was required for this endpoint.

Short-term toxicity tests for aquatic organisms were waived as the test substance is highly insoluble in water.

Due to the poor water solubility of test substance (2.5 μg/L), the exposure to the aquatic compartment is negligible. In addition, the substance has a large molecular weight, which combining with poor solubility in water results in a very low bio-availability to aquatic compartment. Thus it can be expected the chemical will not be hazardous, so no further long-term testing will be necessary.
