Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
a physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water and seek
medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Drink two glasses of water and call
a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanide, sulphur
oxides and silicon dioxide. Fires may be extinguished using
carbon dioxide, foam and dry powder.
Accidental release measures
decontaminant (8% concentrated ammonia solution, 2% liquid
detergent, 90% water) over spill and react for 10 minutes.
Pour absorbent over decontaminated spill and collect into
drum. Let drum set, loosely covered, for 24 hours with
excess decontaminant prior to disposal. Incinerate or
landfill according to local regulations.
Handling and storage
using. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear suitable eye
protection and impervious gloves. Avoid breathing of
vapours. Use only in well entilated areas. Keep container
closed. Avoid moisture contamination.
Storage: Store in a tightly closed container in an area suitable for
storing flammable liquids.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Add a solution of 8% concentrated ammonia solution, 2%
liquid detergent and 90% water to the substance and allow
to react for about 10 minutes.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: After neutralisation the substance may be buried in metal
drums at a landfill site.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration of the substance or the neutralisation product
is possible. Combustion products are expected to be carbon,
nitrogen and sulphur oxides together with hydrogen cyanide
and silicon dioxide.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The notified substance reacts with water, polymerises and
precipitates out.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
