Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If irritation

develops seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water fog, carbon dioxide, foam or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and some

soot.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Absorb spill using fire retardant-treated sawdust, or

diatomaceous earth etc. Sweep up into suitable containers

and dispose of by incineration in accordance with local

regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions when handling organic

chemicals. Use in a well ventilated area. Safety goggles

should be worn.

Storage: Store in a cool dry place away from strong oxidising agents.

recover in the oil phase from oil/water separator prior to

water phase secondary treatment or discharge.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility in accordance with

local regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Recovery from water systems as above. Activated carbon

should be used to reduce contamination to the lowest level

possible in remaining water phase.
