- Details on results:
- As actual concentrations decreased by more than 20 % from initial during the test, toxicity parameters were based on time weighed average exposure concentrations. These average concentrations were between 65.5 and 69.3 %.
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- not specified
- Conclusions:
- The 72h-EC50 and 72h-NOEC were determined to be higher than 100 mg/L in green algae (basis for effect: growth rate and biomass).
- Executive summary:
The study was conducted according to EU Method C.3 (Algal inhibitory test) (GLP study). Selenastrum capricornutum was exposed to the substance for 72 hours. The actual concentrations decreased by more than 20 % from initial during the test. These average concentrations were between 65.5 and 69.3 %. No effects were observed during the 72 hour test period. The EC50 and NOEC after based on growth rate and biomass were determined to be higher than 100 mg/L at the end of the exposure of 72 hours.
