Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
MDI/CHA/ODA/DCHA is a multi-component substance. The logPow of the constituents of the substance were calculated:
The component with CAS# 154099 -21-5 (MDI-CHA/ODA) had a calculated logPow of 12.99
The component with CAS# 43136-14-7 (MDI-ODA/ODA) had a calculated logPow of 19.07
The component with CAS# 58890-25-8 (MDI-CHA/CHA) had a calculated logPow of 6.9
The component MDI-ODA/DCHA had a calculated logPow of 15.47
The component MDI-CHA/DCHA had a calculated logPow of 9.41
In addition, the impurity with CAS# 127194-10-9 (MDI/DCHA), had a calculated logPow of 11.88.
These components together represent approx. 100% of the substance, based on their typical concentation.
Based on these values and the boundary composition, the weighted average logPow of the substance as a whole was calculated to be XX - YY (lowest and highest possible).
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
As the log Pow of the constituents of the substance are calculated to be above 6, both the HPLC and the shake-flask method are not applicable to the substance. The estimation method (solubility ratio) was performed in accordance with EC A.8 and OECD 109. No log Pow of the substance could be calculated from the solubilities in n-octanol and water due to its limited solubility in these solvents. Therefore the log Kow of the constituents of the substance were calculated, using the program KOWWIN, part of EPI Suite.
