Male Sprague-Dawley rats were treated with 150 mg/kg test substance by gavage for 14 consecutive days. The effects of the test substance on alpha2µ-globulins in rat kidneys were examined by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting analysis.

Results and discussion

Treatment of male Sprague-Dawley rat with 150 mg/kg test substance by gavage  for 14 consecutive days resulted in a significant intensification of a protein band corresponding to kidney-type alpha2µ-globulin.
