The test substance is not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

In two tests on the ready biodegradability the test substance was found to be not biodegradable. In an OECD 301B study performed by RCC (RCC Ltd. 2000b) the degradation based on CO2 evolution was 2% after 28 days. In a test conducted according to OECD 301C by the Institute of Ecotoxicology at the Gakushuin University in Tokyo (1999), the biodegradation based on oxygen consumption was also 2% only.
