Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The solubility of Acid Brown 161 in water was determined from the measured concentrations of the test item in the filtrated test solutions.
For the test, 150 g/L test item were used to prepare a saturated solution as the water solubility detected in the pre-test was approx. 28 g/L (in the guideline, fivefold saturation is proposed). To determine the dependency of the water solubility on the amount of the test item added, six different loading rates in the range of 150 – 300 g/L were chosen. A dependency of solubility on the amount of the test item (nominal load) was not perceived in the main test. Therefore, all measurements were included in the calculation of the mean: 25.26 ± 0.6 g/L, corresponding to the RSD of 2.4 %.
No observations arousing doubts concerning the accuracy of the results and the validity of the study were made.
