Details on results:
- Result of preliminary test
0.10 g sample was weighted and 100 mL water was added. Sample was not dissolved completely.

- Result of test
1) The result of preliminary test shows that the solubility of sample is smaller than 1 g/L. Three vessels were prepared and 0.5 g sample was weighed into each vessel, and 50mL water was added into each vessel. The vessels were equilibrated for 1d, 2d and 3d respectively, with occasional shaking, after which the pH values of the aqueous phase was analyzed to be 1.64, 1.23 and 1.18, and the amount of undissolved solids decreased with pH, which shows that hydrolysis reaction occurred. The aqueous solution was also analyzed by GC, the signal of sample increased significantly. However this increase is due to the hydrolysis rather than dissolve, the test method is not applicable.

Conclusions:
According to the test result, hydrolysis of 1,3,2-dioxathiane 2,2-dioxide (EC:214-022-5) occurred and the test method is not applicable.
