Results and Discussion

The temperature range for the investigation of the melting point was fixed between 40 °C and 140 °C. A sharp endothermic signal was recognizable in the range of 67-70 °C. For two runs the following melting points were resulting:

run 1: 67,46 °C

run 2: 67,27 °C

 

The evaluation of endothermic signals for both runs results in a middle melting point of the test item of 67.4 °C (onset temperatures).

Conclusions:
A melting point value of 67.4 °C (at 1021.25 hPa) was determined for the test according to E.U. Method A.1.
