Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Release to the environment is expected to be minimal. The substance is highly insoluble in water and is unlikely to hydrolyze. The estimated Koc (1.459E+9) is very high and suggests very strong sorption to soil and sediment, with negligible migration potential to groundwater. The EPISUITE Level III Fugacity model predicts that 82.4% will partition to soil and 17.6% will partition to water, with a persistence time of 45 days. If the substance is exposed to water it is not predicted to evaporate because of low vapor pressure and a low Henry's Law Constant. Total removal in wastewater treatment is expected to be 94% with 93% sludge adsorption. The substance is not readily biodegradable. However, the considerable dergradation in a ready test indicates the potential to biodegrade, which is limited by the low water solubility. The substance is predicted (EPISUITE BCFBAF v3.01) to have a low bioconcentration potential.
