The measured vapour pressures above 25 °C are slightly outside the measuring range (10-3 to 1 Pa) of the Knudsen cell. Nevertheless, as the vapour pressure value above 1 Pa could be detected properly by the Knudsen cell, this value can be used for the evaluation.

The vapour pressure of the test item Methyl Benzyl Alcohol was calculated by interpolation of the measured vapour pressure curve for the temperatures 20, 25 and 50 °C, according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.4. Vapour Pressure and OECD Test Guideline 104 (2006): For 20 °C the vapour pressure is 0.9 Pa, for 25 °C 1.6 Pa and for 50 °C 20.1 Pa respectively.

Conclusions:
In the study according to OECD 104 the test item showed a vapour pressure of 1.6 Pa at 25 °C.
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test item was calculated by interpolation of the measured vapour pressure curve for the temperatures 20, 25 and 50 °C, according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.4. Vapour Pressure and OECD Test Guideline No. 104 (2006) to be 0.9, 1.6 and 20.1 Pa respectively.

Description of key information

In the study according to OECD 104 the test item showed a vapour pressure of 1.6 Pa at 25 °C.
