Description of key information

Adequate, valid and reliable studies on the acute toxicity of the test substance to three different aquatic freshwater species and to micro-organisms in activated sewage sludge are available. These studies were conducted in accordance with the relevant OECD regulatory test guidelines and carried out under GL and resulted in the following effect levels demonstrating that fish was the most sensitive species:

96-hour EC50 value in fish = 71.0 mg/L

48-hour EC50 value in daphnids >100 mg/L

72 -hour EC50 value in green algae >87 mg/L

Furthermore, the study on the respiration inhibition of activated sewage sludge gave a 3-hour EC50 value of 75.0 mg/L.

The available studies are appropriate for the derivation of Predicted No-Effect Concentrations (PNEC) and the classification for environmental hazards under the CLP regulation.
