Description of key information

An earthworm study conducted according to OECD Guideline 207 was not able to demonstrate any effects in an acute, 14 -day study. The result determined a acute LC50 > 1000 mg/Kg of dry, artificial soil substitute.

Plant study conducted using USEPA guideline OPPTS 850.4200 using EXP1200078 applied to an inert substrate was not able to demonstrate any effects on germination or root elongation in ten (10) different species of plants. Testing was conducted at a maximum concentration of 1000 mg/Kg substrate.

No further terrestrial testing is proposed, as the CSA demonstrates there are negligible releases to the terrestrial compartment, as demonstrated by RCR values <0.02 for all exposure scenarios in the CSA. Based on this, it is concluded that there is no need to further investigate effects of the registration substance on terrestrial organisms. This complies with the adaption criteria outlined in Annex IX and X, section 9.4 column 2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
