Additional information

The toxicity to green algae (Selenastrum capricornutum) was examined in a study in accordance with OECD guideline 201 and GLP (Smyth 2000). In this study algae were exposed to nominal concentrations of 5.6, 10, 18, 32, 56, 100, and 180 mg/L for 72 hours under static conditions. Biomass and inhibition of growth rate were determined. Test concentration analysis revealed actual levels of test substance of 99 -106% of nominal concentration. Based on the results the NOErC and NOEbC were determined at 56 mg/L and 32 mg/L, respectively. The ErC50 and EbC50 were determined at 140 mg/L and 84 mg/L, respectively.
