Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Estimated value:

Melting temperature of the complexe salt: >300°C

Freezing temperature of the aqueous solution: <0°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance is manufactured as a solution in water. As it is technical not possible to obtain a pure substance thus an experimental determination could not be performed. The estimation of melting/freezing temp. is as follows:

1. The test substance is a Zn(2+) complex salt and the melting point of the Zinc is well known with a value of 419.5°C. Thus, it can be suggested that the melting point of the substance would be greater than 300°C.

2. The Zinc complex salt is considered as impurity of the aqueous solution and the water has a freezing point of 0°C. Thus, it can be suggested that the freezing temperature of the solution would be below 0°C.
