Nausea

Discomfort

Dizziness

Vomiting

3. INDICATION OF ANY IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION AND SPECIAL TREATMENT NEEDED

Treatment: Treat symptomatically

Fire-fighting measures

1. EXTINGUISHING MEDIA

· Suitable extinguishing agents: Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

· Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet

2. SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE

Hazardous combustion products: Formation of toxic and corrosive gases during heating or in case of fire.

3. ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS

Special Protective equipment for firefighters: Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.

Specific extinguishing methods: Suppress (knock down) gases/vapours/mists with a water spray jet.

Further information: Standard procedures for chemical fires.

Accidental release measures

1. PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS; PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

Use personal protective equipment.

Remove all sources of ignition.

Avoid dust formation.

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Evacuate personnel to safe areas.

2. ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS

Do not let product enter drains.

Do not allow contact with soil, surface or ground water.

If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.

3. METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP

Avoid dust formation.

Ventilate the area.

Use mechanical handling equipment.

Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.

Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

1. PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING

Technical measures: Restrict the quantity stored in the work place.

Local/Total ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation. Use with local exhaust ventilation.

Advice on safe handling: Keep container tightly closed. Avoid dust formation. Use only with adequate ventilation. Work in a fume hood.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Substance is flammable. Avoid generating dust; fine dust dispersed in air in sufficient concentrations, and in the presence of an ignition source is a potential dust explosion hazard. Firefighting equipment must be available. Keep away from heat. Avoid dust accumulation in enclosed space. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Take measures to prevent the buildup of electrostatic charge.

Hygiene measures: Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Remove and wash contaminated clothing and gloves, including the inside, before re-use. Keep working clothes separately. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not breathe dust or spray mist. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.

Temperature class: T1

2. CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBLITIES

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Prevent any penetration into the ground. To maintain product quality, do not store in heat or direct sunlight.

Further information on storage conditions: Protect against light. Keep locked up or in an area accessible only to qualified or authorized persons.
