The flash point of OFPMA was determined according to the Pensky-Martens closed cup (PMCC) method of ASTM D93. The study was conducted in triplicate. The PMCC flash point of OFPMA is 75°C at standard atmospheric pressure.
While a flash point of 75°C does meet the classification criteria of UN GHS (Version 6) for a Category 4 Flammable Liquid, the European classification system CLP (EU 1272/2008 as amended) does not include Category 4 for flammable liquids. Therefore, OFPMA is not classified as a flammable liquid according to CLP (EU 1272/2008 as amended).
