Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 104 (Vapour Pressure Curve)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
dynamic method
Temp.:
20 °C
Vapour pressure:
23.9 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: The vapour pressure of a bis(ethanolammonium)hexahydroxoplatinate solution containing approximately 10% platinum is 23.9hPa at 20°C.
Transition / decomposition:
yes
Transition temp.:
84.33 °C
Vapour pressure at 10°C above transition temperature:
1 001 hPa

The sample became darker and rising smoke was observed during the measurements starting from 84.33°C. Decomposition of the test item is a probable explanation. After the measurements the residual sample contained solid particles. Thus, the mathematical calculation was performed without the last data points starting from 598.6hPa.
