Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

If inhaled: if breathed in, move person into fresh air. Artificial respiration and/or oxygen may be necessary.Take victim immediately to hospital.

In case of skin contact: take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off with soap and water.

In case of eye contact: if in eyes, rinse with water for 15 minutes.

If swallowed: rinse mouth with water. Call a physician immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water mist, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide, sand.

Hazardous combustion products: carbon oxides, fluorine compounds.

Special protective equipment for firefighters: wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: suitable mask with particle filter P3 (European Norm 143).

Environmental precautions: do not allow uncontrolled discharge of product into the environment.

Methods for cleaning up: shovel into suitable container for disposal.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: ensure all equipment is electrically grounded before beginning transfer operations.

Hygiene measures: handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Recommended storage temperature: 15 - 25 °C

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment

- Eye protection: safety glasses with side-shields.

- Hand protection:take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact). Impervious gloves, nitrile rubber.

- Skin and body protection: closed work clothing.

- Respiratory protection: engineering controls should always be the primary method of controlling exposures. If respiratory protective equipment is needed for certain activities, the type as well as the corresponding protection factor will depend upon the risk assessment and air concentrations, hazards, physical and warning properties of substances present. Use only respiratory protection that conforms to international/ national standards.

No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required.

- Protective measures: the type of protective equipment must be selected according to the concentration and amount of the dangerous substance at the specific workplace.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: none reasonably foreseeable.

Chemical stability: stable under recommended storage conditions.

Conditions to avoid: heat, flames and sparks.

Materials to avoid: strong oxidizing agents.

Hazardous decomposition products: carbon oxides, fluorocarbons.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods: in accordance with local and national regulations.
