Test solutions
- Vehicle:
- yes
- Details on test solutions:
- The test article solution was prepared by transferring suitable weighed amount of DTZ62 into glass beakers in order to obtain the final concentration of 10 mg/L.
Test organisms
- Test organisms (species):
- Daphnia magna
- Details on test organisms:
- Number: 20 animals
Light: 12-16 hours of light/dark daily. During the test the animals were kept in the dark.
Feeding: the animals were fed with green algae (Selenastrum capricornutum) three times a week. During the treatment period the animals were not fed.
Housing during the treatment: 20 animals/concentration in silylated glass beakers. Vessel identification gave experimental number and group number.

- Test description
Experimental design: on the basis of preliminary results, the test article was tested at nominal concentration of 100 mg/L.
One group of 20 animals was prepared as control group and treated with reconstituted water.
Observation of immobilization: at 24 and 48 hours. Daphnia were considered immobile if not able to swin within 15 seconds of gentle agitation of the test container.
Parameter checking: at 0 and 48 hours of treatment the following parameters were checked in the treatment solutions.

Experimental data from an acute immobilization test in which Daphnia magna were treated with the test article DTZ 62 at the nominal concentration of 100 mg/ml are given in this report.
The animals were treated and observed for 48 hours.
No animals were immobilized in the control group.
One animal of the treated group was found immobilized at the 48h observation.
Among the other animals at 48 hours4 of them swan normally, while the others moved jerkily on the bottom of the test vessels with long periods of immobility.
The EC50 of DTZ 62 at 24 h and 48h was higher than 100 mg/L.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The EC50 of DTZ 62 at 24 h and 48h was higher than 100 mg/L.
