Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
flask method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Following material is needed:
- normal laboratory glassware and instrumentation;
- a device for the agitation of solutions under controlled constant temperature;
- if required for emulsions, a centrifuge (preferably thermostatted); and
- analytical equipment
Water solubility:
< 0 g/L
Incubation duration:
ca. 24 h
Temp.:
30 °C
pH:
ca. 6.5

Sample was dissolved in methanol and diluted to different concentration. A series of sample solution was achieved and the quantitative standard curve was achieved by HPLC.

About 0.05g sample was put in the centrifuge tube and 10g water was added. The saturated aqueous solution after equilibrium was injected into the HPLC equipment, but no signal for sample was found. The concentration of sample saturated solution was below 0.00002 g/L (detection limit of HPLC for sample). The aqueous saturated solution of sample was also tested by HPLC-MS together with a 0.00001 g/L methanol solution. There is no signal for aqueous solution, while there is a peak at 4.52 min for 0.00001g/L methanol solution.

Conclusions:
The solubility of sample in water is below 1.0e-5 g/L.
