Discussion

According to criteria mentioned in EC Method A.5, substances showing a surface tension lower than 60 mN/m under the conditions of this method should be regarded as being surface active.

Conclusion

The mean surface tension of duplicate aqueous solutions of test item prepared at 90% saturation has been determined to be 72.2 mN/m at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. The test item was considered not to be surface-active.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The surface tension of the substance is 72.2 mN/m. The substance is not considered to be surface active.
Executive summary:

In accordance with the OECD TG 115, the ring method was used to estimate the substances surface tension in water.  The meausres were taken in duplicate at 20 degrees celcius, several measures were taken over 200 minutes.

The mean surface tension measure of the substance was 72.2 mN/m.  The substane is not surface active.
