Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2014
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Justification for type of information:
Guideline method conducted in a reliable laboratory within the spirit of GLP, but without CLP certification.
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling Point)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Differential scanning calorimetry was the methodology applied.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Key result
Atm. press.:
101.3 kPa
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
200 °C

ZWA 5496 did not having a boiling point. It began to degrade/evaporate after reaching 200 oC as noted using differential scanning calorimetry.

Conclusions:
A boiling point for the test stubstance was not technically possible to determine; the temperature at which the substance began degrading/evaporating was 200 °C.

Description of key information

No boiling occurred; degrades at 200 oC.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Differential scanning calorimetry showed degradation and evaporation beginning at 200 oC.
