First-aid measures
4.1 Description of first aid measures:
In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
4.1.1 In case of inhalation:
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
4.1.2 In case of skin contact:
In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.
4.1.3 In case of eyes contact:
Assure adequate flushing of the eyes by separating the eyelids with fingers.
4.1.4 In case of ingestion:
If swallowed, wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Call a physician.
4.2 Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Causes serious eye irritation.
4.3 Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
If skin irritation or rash occurs, get medical advice/attention.
Fire-fighting measures
5.1 Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder or appropriate foam.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Not available.
5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Combustible material. In case of fire, the following can be released: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
5.3 Advice for fire-fighters:
As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand. MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
Accidental release measures
6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
6.1.1 For non-emergency personnel:
Use personal protective equipment. Avoid breathing vapors, mist or gas. Ensure adequate ventilation. Refer to section 8 of SDS for personal protection details.
6.1.2 For emergency responders:
Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if mist, vapor or dust is generated.
6.2 Environmental Precautions:
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.
6.3 Methods for Containment and Cleaning up:
Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Recover or remove to waste treatment plants for disposal.
Handling and storage
7.1 Precautions for safe handling:
7.1.1 Protective measures:
Do not ingest. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapor/spray. Wear suitable protective clothing. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. If ingested, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or the label. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
7.1.2 Advice on general occupational hygiene:
Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use. Avoid all possible
sources of ignition (spark or flame). Store carefully closed containers upright to prevent any leaks.

Exposure controls / personal protection
8.2 Exposure controls
8.2.1Appropriate engineering controls:
Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas.
8.2.2 Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:
Goggles or face shield, if splashes or contact with eyes is possible.
Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.
Wear normal work clothing.
Avoid excessive inhalation of concentrated vapors. Use local exhaust ventilation.
Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent heat.
8.2.3 Environmental exposure controls:
Avoid discharge into the environment.
According to local regulations, Federal and official regulations.
Stability and reactivity
10.1 Reactivity:
The substance is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.
10.2 Chemical stability:
Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions.
10.3 Possibility of hazardous reactions:
No dangerous reactions known.
10.4 Conditions to avoid:
Incompatible materials. Heat, ignition sources.
10.5 Incompatible materials:
Acids, bases, oxidizing agents, reducing agents.
10.6 Hazardous decomposition products:
Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
Disposal considerations
13.1 Waste treatment methods
Chemical waste generators must determine whether a discarded chemical is classified as a hazardous waste. Additionally, waste generators must consult state and local hazardous waste regulations to ensure complete and accurate classification.
13.2 Product / Packaging disposal:
If empty container retains product residues, all label precautions must be observed. Return for reuse or dispose according to national or local regulations.
