Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Pyrophoric solids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.

Preliminary screening test

The pile failed to ignite during the two minutes that the Bunsen was applied.

The result of the preliminary screening test obviated the need to perform the main test.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information The test sample failed to ignite
Conclusions:
The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.
Executive summary:

The flammability has been assessed by means of measuring the combustion of the material according to EU method A10 in compliance with GLP. Combustion of a determined pile of test sample was attempted by application of an air rich flame from a bunsen burner for a period of 2 minutes. The pile failed to ignite and the test sample is therefore considered to be not flammable.
