First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move exposed subject from exposure to fresh air immediately.  Use a bag valve mask of similar device to perform artificial respiration (rescue breathing) if needed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention immediately.

Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing by lifting upper and lower eyelids with fingers occasionally. If irritation occurs or persists, get medical attention.

Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water and give large amounts of water to drink if person is conscious. Do not attempt to give any solid or liquid by mouth if the exposed subject is unconscious or semi-conscious. Avoidance of direct sunlight within a few hours of exposure will prevent exaggerated sunburn reactions. Get medical attention.

Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.  In case of skin contact, immediately flush with plenty of soap or mild detergent and copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation occurs or persists, or if needed, get medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Evacuate area and fight fire form a safe distance. Use regular chemical, carbon dioxide, water or appropriate foam. For large fires use regular foam or flood with fine water spray.

PROTECTION: Fire-men have to wear self contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Under fire conditions may emit toxic fumes.

Accidental release measures

Protection: Approved respirator or self-contained breathing apparatus, if needed, safety boots, resitant safety chemical gloves and chemical safety goggles or face shield. Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of spillages.

Environment: Keep out of water suppliers and sewerds. Avoid spillage reaching drainage or water stream. Ventilate area of leak or spill. Avoid formation of dust.

Cleaning: Carefully sweep up or vacuum any spilled material immediately with dry agent (sand, ermicule, etc.), using non-sparking tools and equipment, place in a bag, and store in closed container for destruction. Avoid the generation of dusty conditions.  Ventilate area and wash spill after pickup.

Elimination: Dispose of waste in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Store waste well in closed container for destruction. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material/pick up has been completed.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid breathing vapours, aerosols, mist or fumes. Use appropriate safety devices while handing as chemical resistant gloves, safety boots or safety gloves, and in case of insufficient ventilation, wear approved respirator.  Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Store:Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances, sources of ignition and heat and out of direct sunlight protected against moisture. Keep container tightly closed.
