Description of key information

Adsorption coefficient (log Koc) for GLDA-H4 was calculated to be -1.93 (QSAR). The log Koc for the read across substance GLDA-Na4 was determined to be <1.5 (HPLC, OECD TG 121).

The adsorption coefficient (Koc) of GLDA-Na4 was estimated using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method. The average measured Koc value for GLDA-Na4 in the ionized form (pH 2) as well as in the nonionized form (pH 7) as calculated from the test is < 32 (Log Koc < 1.5). Log Koc for GLDA-H4 calculated with QSAR was -1.93. This indicates that both GLDA-H4 and GLDA-Na4 will be mobile in soil and not be sorbed by sludge in a sewage treatment plant.
