One experimental study to evaluate the bioaccumulation of Y-15099 in fish is available. The study resulted in a BCF of 20 at steady state indicating a limited potential for bioaccumulation in animal tissues (Yakata, 2003).

The hydrolysis products ethanol and silanetriol, (3 -mercaptopropyl)- have a low potentail for bioaccumulation based on a log Kow of < 3. Octanoic acid with a log Kow of 3.05 might has a low potential for bioaccumuation but a supporting QSAR calculation indicates a low potential for bioaccumuation as well (BCF 83.64 L/kg wet weigth).
