Description of key information

Key study: Test method OECD 201. GLP study. The 72h-EC50 was > 100mg/L and the 72h-NOEC was 100 mg/mL based on the nominal exposure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L

Additional information

Key study: A freshwater Alga growth inhibition test was performed with OS-2200 according to OECD Guideline 201 under GLP conditions. A limit test was performed with Selenastrum capricornutum at 100 mg test item/L. 6 replicates of algal cultures were exposed to 100 mg/L OS-2200 for 72 hours. The EbC50 and ErC50 were > 100 mg OS-2200/L and the NOEC was 100 mg/L, based on nominal concentration.
